Do I Have to Mention ECTN Number on Master BL ?

Certain Shipping Lines require ECTN certificate prior to load the cargo. In this case shipping agent will write the ECTN number on Master BL. However there is no specific instruction from authorities to provide certificate number on the Master BL

How do I provide a Commercial invoice for household and personal goods to get ECTN certificate ?

The authorities still require Proforma Invoice for ECTN certificate even though the shipment is personal goods. The value of the goods can be estimated and doesn’t have to reflect on the market value. As long as the description of goods and listed correctly and the HS Code is shown.

Why can’t I modify the HS Code ?

The HS Code (Harmonized System Code) displayed is sourced from the official database of the Cameroon National Shippers’ Council (CNCC). It is assigned based on the declared nature of the goods.

Where do the ETA and ETD dates come from ?

The ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) and ETD (Estimated Time of Departure) are provided based on the tracking report of the Bill of Lading (BL). These dates are for informational purposes and may change depending on maritime traffic conditions or transport logistics.

Why doesn’t the importer’s name match what I entered ?

The importer’s name shown on the platform corresponds to the one registered at the time of creating the Unique Identification Number (NIU). This information is managed by the relevant authority and cannot be altered through our system. If you believe there is an error, please contact the authority responsible for NIU registration.

Why is the number of packages for bulk cargo always 1 and non-editable ?

For bulk cargo (solid or liquid), the system automatically sets the number of packages to 1, representing the entire load as a single unit. This is in line with logistics and customs standards, and the field is locked by default to maintain data integrity.
